Brandon Moss traded for a minor leaguer! What does that say about Brandon Moss! He was not a highly scouted minor Leaguer. But I do have to say that the Athletics seem to always make average players to good players. Its hard to think that they would let go Brandon Moss very well liked by Athletics fans!

Billy doesn't have much regard for the A's fans, though. The fans' connection to a player plays ALMOST 0% into his calculation for player retention.

As for the return, Samardzjia was traded for a minor leaguer as well. Are you saying that the Cubs "gave up" on Samardzjia?

Pitchers maybe.

Moss' avg. should go way up next year if he's healthy.

As for Beane, A's MGMT are cash-strapped on all levels as they can't even afford 1 fuck to give, about what the fans want.

This.

Waited for someone else to say it as well

It would make sense if this was about possible moves in general that could take place. Signings and Trades.

Yeah, there are a lot of guys, under contract, that are rumored to be on the move, or possibly extended. Maybe that's what yoga was going with.

Yanks offered Robertson 15 mil on a QO. He signs with the Sox for less than 12 mil per year :L

Lester will supposedly make his decision tonight. We probably won't hear about it until tomorrow AM, though.

25M more total.

These guys don't want the 1 year deal. They want to cash in when they can, even if the AAV isn't as high.

Damn....dude went from the northside....out west to the east bay....and then back to the southside in 5 months.

He's a pretty decent pitcher though....and solid as a #2 or #3.

So if he signs with your team...who's on the outs?
Timmy? Peavy? Huddy?

Assuming he signs...

That would give us a rotation of Bum, Lester, Cain, Huddy, Timmeh. Peavy and Vogey are FAs.

We have the rotation slots. Roster-wise, we can still add 1 more SP, but I think Lester would pretty much drain our funds.

yeah....that's a nice problem to have.....and you'll still have a bit of leverage either way.

White Sox all of a sudden have one of the best rotations in the AL with Sale, JS and Quintana at the top. If they can learn how to not play Little League defense they could contend. (Abreu to DH will help with that a lot.)
