No I can keep him as my 1st rd pick since Felix will count as my 2nd. But the following year I'll have to choose between Felix or Scherzer who to use my 1st rd pick. (Not really a choice I'll be keeping king Felix)

What got me is he was willing to give the 1st to keep Scherzer but didn't want to for Kershaw. Adding Peralta and Cobb aren't worth losing Kershaw, you can and should get more.

I am giving up Kershaw to win this year I need the $200. Since I won't have Kershaw then I will have a 1st round pick, I lose my 2nd round pick by keeping King Felix, and I'll lose my 9th rd pick by keeping Abreu. I can find a keeper for following year with next years draft or keep a pitcher from my current roster.

Kershaw will earn me around 150pts left in season (yahoo projections) while the 3 pitchers will earn me 400pts.

I can wait till next year but I wanted to insure a victory this year.

I countered his offer with this.

He gets: OF Michael Morse, OF Coco Crisp, SP Kershaw, RP Boxberger, and AJ Burnett (only Kershaw has produced points lately for me)

I get: OF Justin Upton, SP Peralta, SP Cobb, SP Scherzer, and RP Cishek (totally more then 300pts difference then what I am giving up in past month)

I have the option of keeping Scherzer with my 1st round pick if I don't see anyone better available. It depends on who the other guys keep as well.

Yup my mistake of the draft but getting a good 2nd baseman is hard to find these days.
