Jon Heyman of Fan Cred reports that the Brewers have shown interest in Manny Machado.

The Brewers haven't previously been connected to the star shortstop, but it appears they've decided to at least check in on his market. Rotation help has been viewed as Milwaukee's primary need, but they could also use help at shortstop given Orlando Arcia's struggles. How hard they ultimately go after Machado, however, remains to be seen. The Phillies, Diamondbacks and Dodgers have been in on Machado and Heyman hears that the slugger could be traded as early as next week.

MLB.com's Jon Morosi reports that the Yankees are one of multiple teams interest in trading for Mike Moustakas and using him at first base.

How serious the Yanks' interest is remains unclear, as acquiring rotation help remains their priority. First base is one position New York has gotten little production from, although it's debatable how much -- if at all -- an upgrade Moustakas would ultimately be over Greg Bird and Neil Walker. "Moose" was great in April but has batted just .233/.300/.411 since the beginning of May. He's also been sidelined the last few days with back spasms

Jon Heyman of Fancred reports that the Red Sox are scouting Orioles closer Zach Britton.

Britton's overall numbers haven't been great since returning from Achilles surgery -- 4.63 ERA, 9/7 K/BB ratio in 11 2/3 innings -- but he's delivered four straight scoreless appearances while showing increased velocity. He's trending in the right direction at the right time for Baltimore, who hopes to land some interesting pieces for the future. If Britton can be anything close to his old self, he'd be quite the weapon as a bridge to closer Craig Kimbrel

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Rockies are scouting Orioles' right-handers Kevin Gausman and Dylan Bundy.

Rosenthal adds that while the Rockies are looking at starters and relievers from other clubs, they have longstanding interest in Gausman, who is a Colorado native. The Orioles are weighing all sorts of trade scenarios right now, as Roch Kubatko of MASN reported Sunday that the Brewers, Yankees, and Braves have all asked about Gausman. Meanwhile, the Braves are also reportedly among the teams interested in Bundy. Gausman is under team control through 2020 while Bundy won't be a free agent until after 2021.

According to Jim Bowden of MLB Network Radio, the Astros are "all-in" on acquiring Orioles' left-hander Zach Britton.

Bowden also noted that last year's negated trade that fell through will not have any impact on discussions this time around. The Astros have seemingly stabilized the back end of their bullpen with Hector Rondon performing admirably in the closer's role, but they could definitely use another elite left-handed arm as a compliment.
