That was an all time great Yankees team to be fair
Too bad bc that Cleveland team was so damn good. Not better than 95 or 96 though. They swept the postseason minus the Cleveland series. They took them to 6.

that was a pretty sick Guardians team- all stars all over

C- Alomar
1B- Thome
2B- David Bell
3B- Fryman
SS- Vizquel
OF- Lofton
OF- Manny
OF- Giles
DH- Justice

SP was decent- Jaret Wright, Nagy, Colon, Gooden, Burba. Mike Jackson was a sick closer too- 1.55 era 40 saves.

Yanks were loaded too

C- Posada
1B- Tino
2B- Knoblauch
3B- Brosious
SS- Jeter
OF- Bernie
OF- O'Neil
OF- Chad Curtis
DH - Darryl Strawberry

SP - Petite, WElls, Cone, Irabu, El Duque--- Rivera closer obviously

def the two best teams that year.

That's the tradeoff, the weirdness of umps different strike zones vs precision. I don't mind it how it is now either.

It's an interesting dilemma.

On the one hand, we want to see the right call made every time and have the technology to do so.

On the other hand, there's something about the human element and players adjusting to differing strike zones that adds to the game and makes it more interesting.

I felt the same about having the DH in only one league, the variety makes the game more interesting. Same as having different dimensions in every park

Yep. I was against the DH when the American league first did it. But I did like that both teams could use it in American league parks, but neither team could use it in National league parks. The different dimensions thing is fun too. A long fly ball can be a home run in 1 park and just a warning track out in another.

The human element brings in bias. It's unavoidable.

You think of all the blood, sweat & tears teams go through and it all gets decided on somebody's opinion on if it was a ball or strike.
And it's done by someone who is standing in the worse possible place to see a ball or strike. It's insanity.
