Why is it not listed on baseball reference?

It confused me too. It has him as a 5 time AS but doesnt have the star next to 1945. Wiki, baseball and the cube have him as a 5 time AS and wiki has him on the AS roster..

"No MLB players were officially named to the All-Star teams in 1945, due to the cancellation of the All-Star Game. The All-Star rosters for the AL and Nl All-Star teams were to have been selected by each All-Star squad's manager (from 1935 through 1946), which did not occur that season"





But there is a roster voted on by the Sporting News and AP, but from 1932-1946 the AS teams were picked by the coaches.

Basically the AS team for 1945 was a newspaper article written on July 12th (not making that up)
