I'll say this, I've had the chance to coach several kids who could hit 98, and while arm strength today can certainly be improved(my son went from 84 in HS to 94 as a Soph in college), most of the kids that can go 98-100 were born with it, at least the ones I coached. They might not have hit 98 without todays throwing programs, I don't know, but they could have rolled out of bed and hit 92-94 and that's a fact. It's hard for me to believe there weren't guys like that before SportsCenter....
