MLB Draft Re Drafts

The “Former Giants in the Big Leagues” thread got hijacked with this idea today. I thought I would do a few other years to see what would have happened…

The rules I set up…

each team is only able to draft players who originally were drafted before their pick, or 10 spots later.

For example, the top pick is only available to players who were picked 1-10. The second pick is only available to players who were originally picked 1-11 (but have not already been picked).

2006

#1 Royals (Hochevar) - Krayton Kershaw (#7, LAD, 75.9 WAR)

#2 Rockies (Reynolds) - Max Scherzer (#11, Arz, 71.7)

#3 Rays (Longoria) - Evan Longoria (#3, TB, 58.1)

#4 Pirates (Lincoln) - Tim Lincecum (#10, SF, 19.5). Only 19.5 WAR? I know his career was short, but that is shocking!

#5 Mariners (Morrow) - Brandon Morrow (#5, Sea, 11.1)

#6 Tigers (Miller) - Drew Stubs (#8, Cin, 7.9)

#7 Dodgers (Kershaw) - Jeremy Jeffress (#16, Mil, 8.8)

#8 Reds (Stubbs) - Andrew Miller (#6, Det, 7.7)

#9 Orioles (Rowell) - Travis Snyder (#14, Tor, 4.3)
