I was fine with not having him before I even took him. Was definitely fine with not having having afterwards and would be fine with it now.

The DH restrictions are ridiculous. Over half of the player pool is automatically excluded from starting at a spot everyone is capable of playing.

If we want to get picky no position player that's entered the game since 2012 is even eligible to start due to game restrictions. Guys like Mike Trout, Abreu, etc...... and that shouldn't be the case.

FYI: Hoyt Wilhelm is a reliever. (1070 games, 52 started)

If he has to be cut on account of that, so be it.

I agree with this, but the problem is, we all could have drafted big sticks just to DH. If have taken manny in the 6th round as a DH, if he were eligible

Mike Trout has 493 games to his credit.

I dont think we jumped into anything to fast and I dont mean to be insulting but if everyone just followed the rules we wouldnt have had an issue with anything, is there not 8 guys who have 486 games started at DH? Is it impossible for everyone to keep track of their team and not draft 3 guys from the same decade? Is it impossible to read the rules and see that you have to draft the original 20 players we had listed THEN draft the 5 extra players???

Also, if you recall the original way I wanted to do this was NOT including players for 2010. But others wanted it so I agreed. It's foolish to call out a player whos only been in the league for two years for not having 486 games, it's impossible for that player to have 486 games in two years.

I agree. We only talked about the draft for a full day and started it on National Championship night. I dont know what the rush was about. We changed the number of players halfway through the draft.

We should do another baseball one after, establish the rules and change up some things so it isn't exactly the same draft.

WE cant make people drop players they draft a while back now, thats not fair, it sucks they dont know the rules or just didnt care but it's not fair to make Smitty drop Edgar and allow someone to pick up one of the best DH's of all time in the 20th freakin round.

I guess next time we do one like this ill have to post on every page the rules and keep track of everyones team myself.

I will admit that it took me a decent amount of time to find a DH that matched what decade I needed and one that satisfied the amount of games required after the top guys were gone (Ortiz, Thomas, Thome, Martinez), but the rules of the draft were pretty simple, IMO.

RULES HAVE NOT CHANGED. We added players but rules did not change.

The entire draft changed, mid draft, so Id say that's changing. I should not have rushed and made that first pick to start us off. Clearly I wasnt aware of things being determined, game limits-DH restrictions-number of rounds..... and shouldn't have let myself get going without a clear understanding of what had been discussed that afternoon.

EDIT... Ya know it does no good to sit here and complain about things. I really didn't think it would be difficult for everyone to keep track of their team. Lesson learned, i'll keep track of everyone's team in the future...
