Given what Nolan did with the quality of talent around him compared the talent around Bryant plus Nolan having 2 more HR's, 32 more RBI's, .2 better BA, plus 15 more at-bats and yet 51 less Strike-Outs I don't see how anyone can say Bryant had the better season. You put Nolan on the Cubs and Bryant on the Rockies with the exact same seasons and Nolan wins MVP by a mile.

In that scenario Nolan wouldn't have had Coors to inflate his stats. You appear to be the only person who doesn't understand that stats at Coors shouldn't be taken at face value (for both hitters and pitchers).

I would have given the MVP to Betts, but I can not complain or argue against giving it to trout...

Joe Maddon won Manager of the year. OK, I guess, but with all the injuries in LA, the Puig fiasco, I really thought Dave Roberts deserved it. Sure he made some mistakes in the post season, but these are supposed to be season awards.

Not sure how Roberts could have done any better. He got 1 good start this previous postseason from starters not named Kershaw. He held a 2-1 lead in the NLCS by basically just riding Kershaw and Jansen. He got further than Mattingly ever did because of it.

Congrats to Trout on winning the AL MVP. Best player in MLB for sure.

That's quite a big IF there. Check their home & away splits and get back to us.

What. A. Terrible. Article.

He's always been a tard, but this one was just an absolute clusterfuck.

The only thing he was ever really good for was covering labor and business matters, and he doesn't really do that anymore.
