I like reading the top ~100 lists that BA / MLB.com / BP do, but a top 100 list doesn't really give an idea of just how deep the minors actually are are IMO. That's why I've loved Sickels' team lists with A/B/C rankings.

I play in a 30 team Sim league with guys that write/talk about this stuff for a living with 43 man rosters including non-MLB (began as 40 + 3 non-MLB if you're wondering "why the weird roster number?"). That type of depth is so so fricking valuable. I can probably go back 10+ years and find a guy every year that I wouldn't have taken if John hadn't gotten me interested, and usually those guys increased in value at the very least.
