You clearly have no clue how tough it is to win at Oregon St. This guy has been offered some of the highest profile jobs in cfb. He has turned down Alabama and USC (twice) just to name a couple. When programs like that are offering you their HC job, that's says a lot, imo.
Also, of all of the big time programs, he and Nebraska seem to be a perfect fit (which is probably why he took the job when he's turned down 'Bama and USC). He takes 3 star talent and coaches them up. Imagine what he'd do with the talent that Nebraska gets.
I've seen various Husker fans complain about talent not being developed under Pelini. Well, now you have a guy who actually does develop talent.
I know one thing for sure, you're quarterback play is about to get a lot better.
One thing Riley will never do is call Nebraska fans delusional fucking idiots like Bo and Callahan did.
There is always that.
lol feels like a rebound girlfriend. ...she has potential but we will see haha
Seems like no one likes the hire. Not one person.
he site to listen to the interview. The Zone Listen button is on the left hand side.
I'm willing to bet Callahan will be remembered as a better coach than Riley will.
Banner is about 2 years old.
Thanks.
I get to listen to Gina say he is a nice guy. And the media loves him. blah blah blah
Players loved to play for Pelini(for the most part) also.
Wow, he won 9 games as recently as 2012!!!!
He has been in the NFL, the CFL, and has been around the block a few times.
Oh, the media will just love him.
On this board, looks like Red_Alert and myself are the least intrigued by this hire.
Checking other huskers boards, it seems to be about 50-50 on the fanbase.
I will not be attending a Nebraska game next year it looks like, the plan was to go to Minnesota, but I don't see any point to it right now. Of course, come August I will forget all this and be drinking the red koolaid.
I am so excited that PAC 12 fans are saying he is a nice guy and a great hire. blah blah blah.
He went 2-7 in the PAC 12 and technically finished in LAST place of the north division, and finished in 11th in the PAC 12.
I guess the good news, Nebraska did not hire the Colorado coach from the PAC 12.
You guys could have had Jim Tressel, but you hire this guy.
I don't get it???
What happened.
