Im on the fence with our new guy too.. his plusses are previous SEC exp with 2 NC and has improved the offense at that school in 2 years along with their wins..

McElwain is a good hire. Took a bad CSU team to being good. Can coach and recruit. McElwain is a winner.

Mike Riley could not recruit to Oregon State even though talent rich California is right next door.

Mike Riley is a loser, not a winner.

Ever been to Corvallis? Or studied the history? Mike Riley put them on the map, and yes, he didn't have the best teams in the PAC, but he is by far the classiest coach in the PAC and quite possibly the best person you could send your kids to as a parent. Nebraska will do great with Coach Riley.

Two players drafted last year. Does not really know talent if you ask me, when he is right next to California.

Are you kidding? You do realize that Oregon St. is in the same state as Oregon, right? He is recruiting against Oregon, USC, UCLA, Washington, etc. and the only facilities in the PAC that may be worse than Oregon St. are Washington St. and I'm not sure that even that's true.

Trust me when I tell you, what Riley has accomplished at Oregon St., is nothing short of remarkable. I'm good with USC hiring Sark, but I was praying we'd get Riley during the interview process.

Snyder does more with less. Miles did more with less everywhere he's been.
