I will say this, he will not be lasting long in Lincoln, period, maybe two years. This was bad hire, after five games you can tell when someone can lead a team and someone who can't

My guess, he regrets not taking the big money that was offered to him, and he decided this time he would and cash in the chips because he is only going to get worse in Corvalis. He saw the writing was on the wall.

This contract had better not be a lot and there had better not be a big buyout.

I dont understand why we ever hired him...coach is a .500 coach with multiple stops over decades. What made it worse is now we gotta clean up bo and riley mess which means we will need 5 solid years under frost before we get back

i think MR recruited better than Bo, sure there is stuff to clean up, but i feel like we have talent there, just need coaches to get them in better positions. also next coach might need to get some JUCOs to fill some holes, i think we should be competing for West in year 2. i wouldn't call for a firing if we weren't but i think that's a reasonable goal.

Or just gauging their interest. He may look at the situation as this could be his high number season. Go while he's somewhat attractive.

That or he doesn't want to have to block.
That is evidenced by the lack of big plays out of Nebraska. When the offense did make the second level, there were always DB's making stops.

Is it worth keeping Coach Williams? From a recruiting standpoint I think so, but based upon on-field production this year, I wouldn't argue against not keeping him.
