Riley obviously had a damn tough job playing second-fiddle in a small state at a shitty university with a tiny stadium, but I still can't get over the fact that they hired a guy who has been a head coach for well over a decade and never lost less* than four games. Also, he is 61.

That is a good hire. Riley is a proven coach. I have a lot of respect for that guy. The question will be can he recruit at a level to bring Nebraska back

Well, I like Reilly. Think he's a good coach.

Just kind of blown away by him going to Nebraska though. Still stand by my first thought, that he is an Anti-Bo.

Schools have a tendency to go with the opposite of who they just fired. Texas did the same with Charlie Strong. He is the anti-MackBrown.

So they hired a guy who is 24-26 in his last four years with the best year being a 9-4 team. Ok but it seems like they made a change for changes sake hiring this guy. IMO he is not who they should be looking at.

I don't think people understand how bad of a job Oregon State is. If you were to rank the least desirable major conference job, it would probably be #3 behind Washington State and Wake Forest. Maybe Indiana as well, but that's it.
