Iupati is out several weeks with a knee injury. This guy can't seem to stay healthy anymore.

No surprise. He had been battling injuries for about 3 straight seasons. He was struggling to stay on the field BEFORE the broken leg.

6 weeks isn't too bad. He'll play most of the regular season IF he can stay healthy.

Yeah it sucks. But it is better to have it happen now than at the start of the season. We will get the "official" time table on his return in the next Arians presser around noon.

The "official" word from Arians is 3-8 weeks with him going under the knife to repair his meniscus.

Hoepfully he works out better for you guys than he did for us. He just couldn't stay healthly the past couple of years on the 49ers

With football being so hard on the body, it's hard to see his durability getting any better moving forward, especially someone his size.

Meniscus is one that doesn't "heal" and leads to chronic pain, often arthritis. This doesn't bode well for Iupati.

Looks like 49ers made the right choice to let him go. If I had to pick between him or Boone I would pick Boone. We better resign Boone.

I feel the same way. If we didn't have to pay as much for him, it would have been OK to resign but given the cap constraints at the time
