As awesome as Kimbrel is, I don't know how you can justify giving an MVP vote to a guy who pitched 67 innings. Or Hanley getting top 5 votes. He missed too much time.

Torii Hunter got votes? Lol.

And Bill Ballou had Trout 7th. Behind Davis, Miggy, Donaldson, Cano, Beltre, and Pedroia. Jesus fucking christ.

I can understand voting Molina-Carpenter 1-2 (though I disagree). At least it's somewhat defensible. But Allen Craig really got a vote? Lol.

Will there be separate voting for the Non-PED users?

Yes, it was won by David Nava AL MVP and Nick Punto NL MVP (thats why he was 1st FA off the board.)

AL Cy Young - tie Joe Saunders and Phil Coke
NL Cy Young - Edwin Jackson

I'm looking at park factors, and it's incredible how much PNC Park suppresses power. Not just home runs, but doubles, too. It's just really hard to get extra-base hits in PNC. McCutchen this season was 11 XBH off the NL lead despite playing in one of the toughest ballparks in America in which to hit for extra bases. Goldschmidt, who held the league lead in that category, played in a more or less power neutral park in terms of both home runs and doubles. It was actually even among the easiest parks in which to hit triples, for whatever little that's worth.

It's not a knock on Goldy, he led the league in extra-base hits playing in a power-neutral ball park, and that is significant, but a testament to the season McCutchen had, finding himself among the league leaders in that category amid difficult circumstances.

Just realized David Wright didn't get a single vote.

It's especially tough on RH batters. I had Mike McKenry backing up Joe Mauer this year on my Diamond Mind team (2012 stats) playing in Miller Park and he hit a HR every 14 ABs and his Isolated Power was an even .300. It was like he'd been taken out of handcuffs.

Because the Angels were 11th in the AL in ERA.

Not sure if McCutchen was the best pick or not, but he certainly deserved it... I have no problem with any of the winners of awards this year...

Trout shouldn't have won because it would have been unfair to all the players who missed out on the MVP because of their team's failure to make the playoffs. At least the voters are staying consistent.
