younger than Gurley and in better shape
1st/2nd round talent
Rams still have 9-10 picks in 2022
Sony was having a great camp
Rams need RB help bad and this fits good

don’t see the down side here at all
Not an awful trade by no means but it seems like they are really depending on him. Not sure how serious the Henderson thumb injury is but I wouldn't want to count on him having to take a big workload. If Henderson is healthy, it's fine

Why do so many think he was a disappointment?
Minus last year he averaged over 900 yards on the ground.
Had three fumbles in three years. Averaged 100 yds per playoff game. 6.5 TDs during the regular season. 2 TDs per playoff game in 2018.

So minus the injury bug???
Good point, so you did get fleeced

You need a good mix of vets and rookies to be succesful.

The Rams are missing out on restocking thru the draft. This causes at least two problems. First vets cost more. They also normally are on shorter contracts which means renegotiating or losing them. Giving a team a small window.

Sure you can hit on some late picks, see Seattle was it 2010-12? Now they're suffering with depth issues.
Yes Pats know that first hand this off-season. Belichick spent Kraft's money like a drunk sailor, playoffs or bust IMO

BB does it again. Gets draft picks out of a player that wasnt gonna be on the team much longer.

Hell yeah counting on both of them. Everyone is one injury away. Chubb had some knee issues right? This trade makes me breathe a bitter easier for sure so I hope we can stop with these injuries dam

A good trade for both teams. I would have preferred the Rams to have made a move weeks ago. The Rams are expected to receive a 4th round compensatory pick which should be around #134 overall. That pick looks better than the projected 5th and 6th round pick values on the Rich Hill Draft chart than it does on the more traditional Jimmy Johnson chart.

The flipside to this is that 'BB does it again' also implies that he hasn't been drafting well lately.

It’s the late first rounder curse. It’s hit and miss to where you are just as likely to get a starter in the 3rd. Which is why I would prefer the Rams continue to trade 2- 1st rounders and get elite talent like Jalen Ramsey.

There is a lot of truth in that. A top 15 is an expensive pick and likely successful to get an impact player (outside QB which is 50-50)
2 late 1st rounders likely only net one impact player - and will he be as good as Ramsey - a player you already know?

Exactly. And a back who had ACL injuries since HS and now has 3 additional wear and tear NFL years on them. Your not fleecing anyone with a RB with his injury history.

A good point is when Sony leaves the following year, Rams could get compensary pick as high as possibly a 4th depending on the kind of year he has. Contract year for him, so he should be extra motivated.

Am I missing something? How do we know the draft order before this season is played?
nobody knows the order its why its a 5th rounder and could be anywhere from 1st to last in that round

A likely 4th round pick for a guy who wasn't going to be re-signed? On a very competitive RBBC squad. A roster that needs to get down to 53. A 4th is pretty damn good. I don't think you would ever get anything more. He's also injury prone which hurts his stock.

BB did well. Rams did well if he stays healthy.

His saving grace was getting Mac Jones. You lock him up at a rookie salary for five years. Henry or Smith, maybe both will be gone by the time you have to pay Mac. So will Agohlor.

I agree he's all in and barring major injuries NE should make the playoffs as long as BB doesn't ride Cam too long.
