QBs vs WAS were good last year, but is Vick smart enough to run Kelly's offense against a live DEF for an entire game?

there's the gamble, high risk-high reward. Worth the risk if you have a QB1 going against badass pass DEF, I guess, but I'd still like to see it in motion before making him my starter.

D. Thomas put up 28 points last night for me, this is the only reason i'm considering this, cause I have that cushion, but y'all are right, I need to see how Vick handles Kelly's offense.

Yeah I'd probably just start Stafford but like you I'd be very tempted as that game will be a shootout IMO.

That is a tough choice. If I had to choose now, I would go with Vick because I expect Kelly's offense is going to have numerous opportunities to score.

It is probably one of those situations where 6 of one is as good as half a dozen of the other.

Choosing either one is understandable because right now there is no clear advantage. After a few games you'll know but now it is a crap shoot.

Well, Minnesota has the 29th ranked D in the league, I'm going to start Stafford, just cause I know he is reliable and I don't wanna dive into a pool not knowing if there is water in it or not...ya feel? lol

No way on earth I start Vick over Stafford this week. Not because he might not have a better game (he might), but because there are way, way too many questions. Shootout? Not if the Redskins slow the game down to protect RGIII's knee. High-octane offense? How many brilliant offensive coaches/brilliant college coaches came to the NFL and laid an egg with their system? 70 plays? Can Vick even make it through 70 plays intact? If he throws an INT early, does Foles come in? Does Kelly get cute at QB anyway?

The only question with Stafford is how much Bush improves things. The only way I start Vick over Stafford is if Stafford were gimpy and playing some monster D no QB could possibly score against.

That said, people forget that Vick, despite his struggles last year was a top 10 QB before he got hurt in an offense that didn't fit his game. I believe Vick will outperform Stafford this week, but Stafford certainly has less downside risk, hence my suggestion to start him.

That's the best advice I've heard yet and makes the most sense. I heard a so called "fantasy league expert" on the radio talking up Vick big time but this week I would go with the 28 pt cushion because it involves less risk.

I say start Vick since you've got him while he's healthy. Also, I don't think Stafford has less risk. He's just as capable of throwing 3 picks as Vick is of running for 3 TD... along with his passing stats. Plus, it's Monday night!

I'd disagree.. I'd say Vick had every bit the chance as having 3 picks, 2fumbles and leaving due to injury in the 3rd as Stafford has of throwing 3 picks. ..much much much lower floor for Vick, IMHO

As a Redskins fan and a Vick owner, I will be very happy if Vick throws 3 picks and fumbles twice. I won't be too happy if he leaves with an injury.
