It's all over twitter, including Rapaport, keeps him with the team through 2020. No word on terms.
Great timing on this deal. I would have been done in the off season but the team gets a little more bang for its buck by doing it now.
Is Kam next? His play looks to have tapered off just a bit, but he remains a core player on this team.
Kam is an UFA in 2018. If Seattle wants to extend him, they tend to do that in the off season the prior year (which is this off season).I thought he had 2 yrs left? With his play which kind of declined a tad, I think the FO might wait. If he plays lights out in the playoffs maybe he gets an extension.

I agree that he appears to have declined a little. I think he still has 2 or 3 years left.
There are just a few LT's that will be UFA's. There are a few more at RT, Sowell being one of them.I'll be interested to see where the Hawks are cap wise with the increase to see if they can extend Kam and still have enough for o-line FA.

Fuck our tackles! Neither of them shoud be starting in the NFL.
I don't blame Fant. He could develop into a servicable piece, and maybe even a starting LT ability-wise but there is just no excuse for having him starting with his lack of experience. It is totally ridiculous.
Agreed. We're talking about a guy who's never played there before at any level, and he's held up ok I think. Not great, but not horrible. We don't even really know how much talent he has because his lack of experience is going to override it for now. We'll see what the coaches think of him and where he may be able to improve to with a full off-season and camp as the LT.I don't think there is enough info to judge Fant yet. He will probably pan out to at least be a back up but Gilliam does appear to be a lost cause. Give Fant some more experience before writing him off. His trial by fire is the fault of management and coaches, not his own.
