It just bugs me that Michigan should have gotten to that dump in and the 2 players basically were pointing to each other "you take it" and neither one did. I don't care if they both were tired from the long shift.

Congrats to UMD. They were tenacious tonight. What a feeling it must be. 1st National Championship***** in school history.

Too bad the college rules do not state intent to blow the whistle and the puck was clearly in before the whistle and Michigan should have won in regulation.

Just kidding. They earned it.

Fuck, what a heart breaker. Incredible game though, amazing crowd and tons of action. Michigan played their hearts out, and Matt Rust showed me the kind of player I wanted him to be when he was coasting through the first half of the season.

The whistle was clearly blown after the puck went in, but I'll buy the "intent" rule. The puck was hidden long enough.

I'm wondering if Hagelin is one of those guys who is talented enough for the NHL, but never going to be strong enough. Maybe a year or two in the A will help his game.

Minnesota seemed significantly faster than U of M, overall. Their speed drew a lot of penalties, and overall made it seem like Michigan was fighting an uphill battle all night.

Congrats, UMD... I hated to see you win, but you earned it and were the superior team in all aspects. Nice to see you win your first.
