I have no problem with UD over Amare in this series.
I have a huge problem with UD taking Whiteside minutes.

Maybe Spoelstra was replaying the UD playoff game vs the Bulls in his mind, but those days are long gone.

Sad thing is Dragic was solid tonight. Without the foul trouble, he was on his way for a 20+ night.

Yeah as I said at the moment it happened, When Miami cut the lead to 1 we should have brought back Dragic, Joe, and Hassan.

Yep.
Just got to shake it off.
Whoever wins game 5, wins the series.

Refs really can't miss obvious calls like this late in the game. This was the play where they reviewed to see who touched it last. Clear foul on Lin which should have awarded Deng 2 free throws.

Glad we're not the only ones who noticed how poor the refs were.

Based on what I'm reading from heat beat writers on twitter, the players are pretty livid with the refs

The excuses on the refs is no Bueno for our team. If we shot better than 40% in this one, we still win. Could be Charlotte in 6 unless these boys focus and tune out the outside and refs because clearly in their head.

Just thought I would post this in here for those who don't post on the NBA general board to get a better understanding of why the Heat are frustrated with the refs. It is basically as if they want Miami to change the way they played defense for the entire season.

The refs is an issue. How are we called for 24+ fouls 3 times in 4X after just being called for 24+ fouls 7 times in 82 times. Does that make any logical sense to you?

How is Jeremy Lin (a bench player BTW) getting to the line as much as Harden and James are so far in the playoffs? Does that make any logical sense?

Heat are being called for about 6 more fouls per game than they were called for in the regular season. That is a huge increase that makes you think about these refs.

So all of sudden the Heat players just forgot how to play defense without fouling after 82 games? Seems unlikely

I am sure Mark Cuban and the Mavs could have pulled similar stats from 2006 finals. We better forget about the refs, play our game and out score them and not worry about the fouls like we did in game one and game two. The refs have been consistently bad calling fouls against us so expect it to continue. If we don't focus, we could be done in six just like the 06 Mavs.

I'm not as concerned as you. Reality of the situation is the kind of ball Charlotte played the last two games is not going to get them a win in Miami. They need to put together an offensive performance as they did in the first two games and play defense as they did at home in order to beat us at home.

From the first 4 games, I would say Miami has a much better chance of winning on the road but we'll see.

These teams were both 48-34 and split the season series for a reason.

Like I said, the Heat need to ask the NBA and refs for permission to play defense on Lin without getting a foul called against them

That said, the Heat just need to find the best way to play through the bad calls and not let it get to them.

Spo really needs to sit Richardson more. He is not ready for this much playing time in a tight playoff series. Winslow looked bad most the game but then made it up in the end with a clutch take to the rim and some good D, Richardson hasnt done much. definitely need to reduce the rookies minutes and especially not play them together for as long as we do.

Ive beaten this dead horse so much during this series already I got PETA on my ass.

For as good as our rookies are and have been - they've provided little thus far in the playoffs in relation to the minutes they've gotten and when they've gotten those minutes.

This has been my only beef with Spo thus far in these playoffs. I know McRoberts hasn't provided us with much all season to give us hope... But when you have two rookies struggling and you have the guys available that we do on the bench and you just leave them there until garbage time... its just stupid.

Highly unlikely at this point, but Spo has to be willing to expand the rotation beyond the rookies to give us a chance.

As for CB, as long as he is on blood thinners, he won't be returning - thats been known for a while now.
