Is it just me or is it way too early to be this combative in the morning? I mean it is tuesday, not monday.

Even worse is CL was defending a Heat fan.

More pressing question why hasn't Granger24 posted in here yet? I mean this thread should be his jam. Unless he thought this thread was an old one from last weeks matchup between IND and MIA...

Wade clarified his ankle injury as an achilles strain and is probably to play tonight. I did a little research and this is mild and not much for Heat fans to worry about tonight*.

The few lines that are out look like IND to be 1 point favorites at the opening line and the O/U at 194.

*Wade's body is breaking down as expected with age if not a little prematurely most likely due to his playing style.

We all know the team strengths and weaknesses, mainly weaknesses lately but how about the refs?

Monty McCutchen, Mark Ayotte and David Jones will be reffing tonight.

When 1 of these 3 is on the court IND is 29-35 ATS. Not a huge discrepancy but fading IND is still an over 6% roi play. It is not large enough to consider it tangible imo.

For MIA if 1 of these refs is on the floor the opposing team has gone 47-27 ATS for close to a 25% ROI. That is printing money.

They have not worked together this year nor have any of them reffed either of the 2 IND vs MIA games this season. The 3 combine for reffing IND vs MIA 3 times in their careers, MIA has won ATS twice and won all 3 games by a combined differential of 29 points. The games were on 4/2/2010, 2/8/2011 and 2/14/2012. Nothing that recent and the teams have changed considerably.

Since the formation of the big 3 IND is 8-4 ATS against MIA being a dog all but once, the 1st game the 2 played earlier this year, IND covered.

Straight up IND is 5-7 vs MIA. They are 4-3 vs MIA their last 7.

Bot, you need a new tagline - "King of useless stats"

Perhaps you can tell us the outcome of the game by a players eating habits or bowel movements.

'The heat win 73% of their games if lebron ate Cap'n Crunch for breakfast'

'Chris Bosh shoots better than 80% from the FT line if he had his morning dump between 7-8am'

If those stats were available and that accurate I would use them.

To you they may be useless but I find them fascinating if nothing else. Just thought I would share.

If you have any stats you find interesting or useful feel free to add them. Or if you have any relevant thoughts to share I am all ears as well.

The Heat are undefeated when Lebron digs his nose in the locker room before the game

That's ok. I'm not delusional enough to think previous game statistics determine the outcome of present games.

Btw, the nets are 3-0 up against the heat. Does that mean if Brooklyn and Miami meet each other in the playoffs the heat are guaranteed to lose?

No for several reasons.

1) 2 of those losses were 1 point losses

2) Wade did not play in the 2nd meeting

3) The first meeting means nothing. It was the 3rd game of the season. Joel Anthony and Rashard Lewis played. Michael Beasley and Greg Oden did not. Udonis Haslem started. What I'm trying to say is a lot of shit changed for Miami since that game on November 1st. In the 2nd meeting, Miami did not have their starting backcourt and still managed to take it to double OT.

The only game that you can really use is the most recent meeting which was anyone's ball game

Math, the other religion.

I never said it determines the out come of present or future games. It does however make present and future games more predictable.

But I was not even doing that, just posting some trends I found interesting.

How many points will Hibbert score tonight with Oden guarding him? I'll say at most 4 points

In Paul George last 28 games, he has shot in the 30's (fg% wise) in 13 of those games

Saw that. They are also saying that D-Wade is a game time decision due to his Achilles.

Sound like Heat fan excuses.

Next man up.
And hopefully we don't spend the night being forced to shoot 3's.
That's how they beat us the first time.
