Not a fan of playing Meriweather this week. Why not wait until the opener? Gives him another week and a half of conditioning, reps etc. There is no reason to play him against backups.

Trust me, they wouldn't let him play unless they thought he was ready. He hasn't really played in a year and a half. He need the time.

Oh boy, that makes me nervous playing Merriweather, crossing my fingers.

Would be really nice if he makes it thru the season unhurt.

I would say it's zero percent chance that Merriweather plays in all 16 games. Truth hurts a little. Truth actually is that if he makes it through this pre-season contest unhurt it would be a great win for Washington. He's one of those players that could be great if he wasn't so apt for injury. So why keep him under wraps. If he gets hurt in this game than I would have to say that getting hurt against Eagles would have been high anyway.
