They look like a couple of world class creeps (Trust me, I know my own kind ). I'm sure the female student body is relieved to get them off campus.

The men's golf corch (Bill Spangler) was making $65k a year after 17 years.

Apparently not good enough to be a golf pro at a course where one could make at least 2-3 times that.
He'd have even made more as a good caddie.
Heck even head greens keeper. Surely he could beat out Carl Spackler right?

I can't imagine coaching golf or tennis being full time jobs. These are probably just sweet moonlighting gigs.

I have considered getting my tennis instruction qualifications but just as something to do on the side.

Well true in that in golf it's not like you have to spend time developing a defensive strategy against your opponents. His players just need to go out, make good decisions, and shoot well.

Did their contracts allow them to carry on 'full-time' jobs elsewhere? I would be surprised.

I have multiple friends who are club pros and they don’t make jack sheeeeit. One of them is the pro at one of the elite courses in Omaha.

I’ll bet the pro at OCC makes $80k.

The perks they get are incredible though.

Free trips to Vegas, Cali, Florida, etc....

Free clubs, gear, accessories.

That's over 20% more than $65K.

Definitely. OCC has to be the top pro position in Omaha Metro. It’s like $15k a year for a full membership there.

Not a big golfer so I don't know.... Is it customary to tip a golf pro?

Caddie yes, but golf pro too?

If they give you lessons. My buddies will bank some days out on the range.

Now that you mention that, that is definitely extra money on top of their built in salary. A good amount of money too. Sometimes they would come home with $100+ cash in a day.

BINGO.

And this corch was working for $65K per year? LOL

Like I said, a good caddie makes that if you include tips.

Yea. I mean caddies of professional golfers make 10% of whatever the pro makes.

So say Tiger Woods wins a major tournament and pockets 1.9 million dollars. His caddy walks with $190k from just one event.

I’ve always wanted to be a caddie for a pro. It would be the life.
