Not sure if they showed the whole thing, but at first just the "WELCOME" sign was up, with a Miami U under it. Then they tore away the U and the rest of it popped up. It was awesome.

What a great game for recruits to be at.

Absolutely. Recruiting coordinators went to sleep with smiles on their faces last night for sure. I've just started looking for news regarding what recruits thought about it. Would have to imagine some were quite impressed.

My buddy went to his first game ever last night. Got to be in the student section too.

He didn't have money growing up and his parents weren't Husker fans, so he never got to go to a game.

Last I heard from him last night he was having an absolute blast.

It is a must do for any Husker fan, I loved the games I attended (even the loss to Priest and Ricky)

Now it is the youngins responsibility to keep Memorial Stadium Loud and Proud

only complaint because i have to be a downer. Tommy's gotta protect the ball. the fumble was dumb, either slide or two hand it. The interception was telegraphed, Tommy decided before the ball was even snapped where he was going. Had two other guys wide open and he throws a pick. I'm going to be honest with you, I just don't know how you do that after doing the same thing in earlier games this year. are coaches some how saying "throw to this guy no matter what" from the sideline?

Pretty sure there was a well placed helmet put on the ball for the fumble. It's hard to prevent that.

On the INT. There were 3 red jerseys wide open. Like you allude, it was a spot pass more than a throw to a guy that's open. Like when you lob it into the corner of the end zone.

I don't know if it was Tommy's fault or the receivers fault that no one was there. The Miami player happened to luck out being there.

Meant to mention BTN was there doing a documentary on Brook Berringer before the game. They were filming his family over by the trophy room where the statue of Brook and T.O. sits out front.

The video is supposed to be aired this fall.

It wasn't luck by the Miami player. We had someone going deep (I think Westerkamp) and someone running the wheel route and Bell ran a short route, the guy who should have been covering Westerkamp came off of him and made the interception because Tommy didn't look that guy off. basically if Tommy would have pump faked to the wheel, he would have had 6 points by throwing it deep to Westerkamp.

Meh.

Shit happens. Tommy's just a 4th game sophomore with a lot of responsibility. Hopefully he'll learn from whatever happened. I try not to expect perfection out of him at this point. I like what he brings to the game.

So Nebraska should have won 48-31?

It's good to know you at least think Tommy could have made the deep throw for 6. :dhd:

Do I hear an 'Amen'?

You know what sucks? That is probably the most hyped and rowdy the stadium will be all year. Not because I think Nebraska won't win games, but we play shitty ass home games from here on out and have zero tradition with the teams we play.

That's the thing I miss about the Big 12. That tradition that amps up the elders. No one sits. Everyone's into it because they're so emotionally invested from all of the memories that were developed from years and years of great games.

The stadium was the loudest it maybe has ever been that night because even the blue hairs get riled up when to play Miami. It means so much more to them.

The sad thing is it might take another 20 years for the whole stadium to get that rowdy and fun for a B1G game. For that kind of feeling that hits you at the core and erases all inhibitions enough for a 70 year old conservative republican father of 5 girls to scream and jump around like hes 30 again.

Last night was the way it's supposed to be ALL OF THE TIME.

That was the best crowd atmosphere from beginning to end in Memorial Stadium that I have experienced since the 2009 Oklahoma game.

People stood, people screamed, everything was GREAT!!!

Well, everything except 1 thing. I had a little plastic cowbell attached to one of the many beads I was wearing around my neck. I was ringing it the entire game. Then with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter this asshole in an orange vest told me to stop. Are you fucking kidding? Am I allowed to clap? Those make noise. Can I yell? That makes noise. Fucking dickhead!!!!!

I didn't talk to 1 single person all day today until about 6pm. It was then that I realized how jacked my voice is after the game last night. Just a fantastic night and the atmosphere was amazing!!!!

That was the loudest and rowdiest I've ever seen it in Memorial. There was longtime frustration in the crowd and they wanted blood. The Miami helmet certainly helped get it going. The offense answering both of Miami's first two touchdowns with TD's of their own was what really lit the torch and kept it burning. They executed well and played physical. The crowd fed off of it. They wanted more blood.

I put that crowd at late 80's LSU Death Valley level and that's saying something. Death Valley at night is the loudest stadium I've ever been in. Memorial was right there. Ear splitting at times where you couldn't hear individual sounds, not even the person screaming next to you. It was a jet engine roar.

It was a hell of a party wasn't it? I was stone cold sober and haven't had that much fun in a long time. Should have fed the orange vest to the Canes locker room after the game. Hang a sign on him that says Nebraska Locker Room Attendant and kick him in the ass on his way in the door.
