Yup, I took the same approach. Being at one end, i didnt want to miss out on a top 5 option

so I wanted to wait until my 2nd DST pick to cover this...

What is a top 5 option? Last year, three of the top five were not drafted in most leagues... or drafted very late. (Vikings, Chiefs, Giants)

If the "top" defense in the league has a September schedule of GB, ATL, NO and NE, are they worth a pick at all?

For me, it isn't about drafting a top 5 option. It is about not getting stuck with a lousy one. There are no do overs in this format, and I do not want to use two roster spots on defense.

While my top 5 option may not be elite, I can pretty much guarantee they will be above average. That is worth the price in this format.

Yeah. I'm opposite. I don't want to be stuck with one... no matter who. I like mixing and matching two over having a 2nd TE, 5th WR/RB. A second middle of the pack DST for byes, bad matchup spells is more points.

Of course, this strategy is much more luck oriented for the position players you choose, and that is risky... so I get it.

this is why I love the weird little wrinkle no waivers/FAs/trades adds to the mix
every one has a slightly different view on how to build the best roster, and none of our plans ever go as planned, LOL

since I'm not taking a 2nd DST or another WR (really think WR5 should be my pick right here), just couldn't let this guy slip to the last round/coma league
