as to HRs being the same as XBH... thats not true... in fact HRs should be only 1 and not 2...

but remember if you get a HR that is ALSO an XBH... so you get points for both...

might just be easier and cleaner to just use Total bases instead of Hits, HRS, and XBH... maybe a .5 bonus for HRs...

i do remember my logic when i used XBH instead of TB... but ruined it when i designated 2 points for HR instead of 1...

I'd keep the 2 point bonus for a HR. I think we should increase both RBI and runs a little bit (maybe 1.5 or 2 points).

I think that going with total bases would also be good.

Agree on mid-season but I assumed it was to start next season. It makes sense.

I created a new League all of you are in it... its not the league we are playing on... it is just a dummy league to see the new scoring changes and how they work...

this will help because there are some scorings that are premium only, so i would l like to know what changes we actually CAN MAKE....

i will likely be editing throughout the season, or at least until we find the right scoring system... you all can follow the scoring changes in the league and see what works... what doesnt... and then continue to suggest other things in this thread...

noticable changes i made so far... none set in stone

1. took away losses and only added RELIEF LOSSES(losses for starting pitchers are no longer a thing)- reason why, a loss for a SP can happen even in a good game... while relievers on the other hand can not have a good game and a loss...

I took a look at 2024 so that we have a larger sample size. 6 of the top 20 are relievers. 4 of them got a lot of saves. Going back to Suarez and 2025, he is the closer. Do we need to nerf saves a little more? Maybe have it at just 5 points. Or is 6 of 20 relievers in the top 20 a good thing?
