I hate this period of baseball Ian Desmond had surgery Monday and everyone knows he is out until late April at the earliest. But because of the expanded Spring Training rosters, there is no need for the Rockies to put him on the IR. So I am stuck with three injured players on my bench that I can't do anything about until Sunday at the earliest.

I think the other reason might be that you have a lot of time to set your lineups.

Just guessing on my part.
