I thought we preferred a slow draft for this league since it's so difficult (actually impossible) to get so many people that can actually make a live draft? Last year we started a bit late if I remember right. Always a fine line in picking a start date for a slow draft. We want to be able to complete the draft before the start of the season (obviously) but everyone agrees that it sucks to start a draft too early because of injury risk/position battles that occur during the spring.

Slow draft set up to start on Friday the 23rd. That gives us slightly more than a week to get it done.

March 25th at 8 pm.

I got an idea... a week should be seven days, let's call it a month?

Fantrax allows u to change draft format in the middle of the draft
in other words u can change from slow to 90 sec at any time during the draft
So start on 23rd and pick a date to change from slow to fast if we run out of time

I set it up as a slow draft 12hours per pick starting at noon on Friday the 24th. It can be changed to the 25th if that's what y'all want.

Fantrax did a random list. Once we put the final draft start date, I think it changes.

Just my 2 cents, burn if we are doing a slow draft I think it should start in mid March. No reason to wait so long (says the guy who drafted AJ Pollock in round 2 like the day before he got hurt).

I have been very busy and have yet to start 2017 baseball research. A new dynasty league is a bit much for me at the moment.

Yeah, that's ultimately why I had to opt out. Adding a dynasty league was a bit presumptuous of me given my time constraints (at least until after graduation in May) but when the scoring is completely different than any standard scoring system, that makes the research needed even that much more involved so I just couldn't see me having the time required to adequately prepare. It sucks, because since I opted out they've gone and made the league a FAAB league! I so want to do a deep keeper/dynasty league with a FAAB waiver system!!!! ....maybe they won't get it setup in time and they'll have to wait for next year to start it!!! I know every year it seems we try to set something like this up too late before the season and we vow that we'll start setting it up in November instead so everyone can be ready! I think everyone by that point is mostly too engrossed in fantasy football by that point and it gets forgotten about.

I also agree we need to get the slow draft started sooner. It really sucks when situations like that happen and your first or second round pick have a season ending injury the day after you pick them. I've heard of guys literally losing players within an hour of picking them in a slow draft before.
