I don't think he's adding any rounds. We have 5 reserve spots. You can move your players into the reserve spots anytime. So we have to finish round 20 and then 6 more rounds. It's definitely not going to be finished before Sunday.

Ouch:suds:

A.J. Pollock suffered a right elbow fracture and will require surgery.

Absolutely brutal news for the D-Backs. Pollock has been dealing with elbow soreness for most of the spring and grabbed at the area in obvious pain after sliding into home plate during Friday's game. The team should have a better idea about his timeline on Saturday, but obviously he's looking at an extended absence.

Definitely puts a huge damper on the Dbacks hopes this season. It was already going to be tough enough to fight it out with the Dodgers and Giants, but without our second best offensive and best defensive player for the first half at least is going to be painful...

Awesome news for my fantasy team too.

I have never really played baseball aside from little league and messing around with friends, but I have to ask why more managers don't discourage their players from making head first slides.

First, I am not even sure that it is more efficient than a good feet first slide, and second the injury risk just does not appear to be worth it. Seriously though, what percentage of injuries to position players occur on head first slides? I am guessing 40% or so.

I dive head first more than half the time. It's a mental thing.... plus, our infields aren't as pretty as major leagues, so it's either get a little scrape on my belly or gash my knee time after time.

Man... I was not feeling Pollock this year...even before his first elbow soreness. I must be the Pollock whisperer.

Although I've rarely dove into home. That would definitely have the highest risk.

Bad news for Goldy too. Pollock was probably a third of his RBI
