Week 16 Weekly Review for the A League

In the short week there were a few interesting results, but only Ram took a significant hit in the standings. Right now, the top 10 teams are all within striking distance of the final playoff spot, while Dub and Kevin are looking more and more like B leaguers.

Week 16 Recap:

Sam 9, Ram 1- Sam's hitters got hot and Ram levt 2 SPs on his bench leading to the dreading innings minimum hit. With the big win, Sam vaults into 6th place and Ram slides all the way back to 10th. There is still time for a playoff run for Ram, but he needs a strong finish.

Jim 7.5, Kevin 2.5- This game was very close in most categories, but Jim came out on top. This has been the story of Kevin's MBBRL season. Jim, meanwhile is in really great shape for a first round bye as he looks to continue to close the gap between he and Tlance.

TKO7, Dub 3- TKO missed out on the hitting sweep because his hitters could not get on base. When they did, however, they sure produced. TKO stopped the bleeding with a much needed victory in this short week and now sits just 3.5 games back from the final playoff spot.

Chef 5.5, Tlance 4.5- This game was a back and forth battle, but Chef managed to hang on after a huge Saturday. Chef is in 7th, just a game and a half behind Sam and Tlance still sits in first, although a little less comfortably than last week.

Fuzzy 5, Paul 5- Paul predicted a tie game before the matchup started, but he was surely hoping for more on Sunday as his team got off to a nice lead. Fuzzy's pitchers brought him back late on Sunday. Paul is in 9th, still with a glimmer of playoff hope and Fuzzy is looking strong in 4th.

Treff 5, D Dude 5- In a matchup of top 6 teams, Treff and Dude predictably battled to a tie. Every single category was close, although neither team hit particularly well. Treff and Dude remain in 3rd and 5th respectively.

Week 16 Recap

AZ Sting 8.5, Foot 1.5- Look out! AZ Sting is relevant again as his squad crushed Foot's. He rode some hot bats and faced off against some terrible pitching. Sting now moves up to 8th place and Foot stays in the cellar.

Milk 8.5, Trudem 1.5- Neither offense was good in this one, but Milk's was a little better. Missing the innings minimum cost Trudem 2 and a half points this week. Milk rises back to 3rd and Trudem falls all the way to 11th.

Driaz 6.5, JD 3.5- JD's offense is still awesome, but missing the innings limit cost him 2.5 points and a win this this week. JD falls to 4th and Driaz is riding shotgun with leader Micro.

Brock 6, Redseat 4- Redseat's bats were on fire this week, but again the innings limit claimed another victim. Redseat would have won 6-4 if he had met the standard. Brock and Redseat currently sit in a tie for 9th. They are within striking distance of the playoffs, but they will need to start their run soon.

Micro 5.5, Smitty 4.5- In what has emerged as the prospect league's greatest rivalry, Micro edged Smitty on the strength of some clutch Sunday pitching performances. This game was pretty close everywhere. Micro hangs onto the top spot and Smitty maintains a nice cushion between him and 6th place Molsan.

OBX 5.5, Molsan 4.5- In the battle for 6th place, OBX got a much needed win. Every category was in doubt on Sunday. Molsan still holds the final playoff spot, but he is now just a game and a half ahead of OBX.
