Guess I should have kept my mouth shut on Tillman..................lead off double, hit 2 guys in a row and gave up 1 run..............I do gotta give him credit though..............see, if you walk a guy you throw at least 4 pitches, but it only takes one to hit him. That will keep his pitch count down so he can at least go 3 or 4 innings..............not to mention it doesn't count against WHIP, which I never knew until I started playing fantasy.

I hear ya..................look, Dude has been giving me a pretty good whoopin this week but I've weasled my way back into contention to at least get a couple of points.........that said the Mets BP has blown 2 late inning leads for deGrom and Franky blew one for Lohse...........so I have to ask the masters in this league, when drafting/picking arms off the wire, how much of that do you take into consideration?

I don't consider that at all, really. However, just one more reason to do quality starts next year.

At 26 innings heading into Sunday. With just 1 start so far (can't count Ventura) it could have been a lot worse. I'm cautiously optimistic Lynn can push me over the limit.

I really don't either. When it comes to grabbing a dude off the wire. . I'm really just going he's not an ERA/WHIP killer, can add some K's.. generally the W's follow. But. . I'd I'm evaluating a really close trade offer, where, all things being equal. . I'd prefer the guy who has a strong pen. Otherwise no not really. . But maybe that's why I'm constantly in the middle of competitive leagues like this one

There are only 2 categories I really care about for SPs. WHIP and Ks.

Worrying about the bullpens will only drive you mad.

I honestly didn't think you would get this far with innings. I'm glad you got them in but would have happily accepted the points if you didn't.

Looks like I am taking the loss, but I am very glad to have kept it this close. 10-0 was a possibility this morning. Good game Fuzzy.
