An undisclosed injury that will, not might, lead to a D/L stint. NOT good.....
Jose Fernandez to the DL with an elbow strain. MRI to come. This could be the WORST.
A League scores from week 6:
Fuzzy 10, Jim 0- Ouch. the matchup between 2nd and 3rd place teams ended in a shutout. Jim picked a bad time to have his worst week.
Tlance 9.5, Dub .5- It is tough to win big like this and see your lead shrink. Still a great week for the Salamis.
D Dude 8.5, Chef 1.5- Chef is reeling as D Dude rises to 3rd. Chef is one game up on last place Dub. Maybe a trade or twelve are on the horizon?
Sam 7.5, Kevin 2.5- Sam surges into fourth with a strong showing.
Treff 6.5, Paul 3.5- Paul's team is really struggling at the moment. He needs a win as he faces off with the red hot D Dude this week.
Ram 6, TKO 4- Ram and TKO sit just out of a playoff spot right now, and Ram's win solidified his standing in 7th.
A League Standings:
1. Tlance: 39-16-6
2. Fuzzy: 38-22-0
3. D Dude: 32-23-5
4. Sam: 29-25-6
5. Treff: 30-29-1
6. Jim: 28-28-4
7. Ram: 26-28-6
8. TKO: 25-31-4
9. Paul: 24-32-4
10. Kevin: 22-33-5
11. Chef: 22-34-4
12. Dub: 20-34-6
Interestingly enough, the bottom 5 in the standings were all playoff teams last year. There has been a rather dramatic shift in the balance of power.
Prospect League Scores:
Milk 10, Brock 0- Milk increases his lead while Brock falls to the basement. Tough week for Brock.
Trudem 7, Foot 3- Trudem was able to pull the "upset" over 2nd ranked Foot. Maybe this result will get his team going?
Redseat 7, Smitty 3- Redseat was able to hurdle Smitty in the standings with this convincing win, but both teams still reside in the top 6.
JD 6, Micro 4- JD is back on the playoff bubble and Micro can't seem to buy a win. Hopefully his luck changes soon.
Molsan 5.5, Driaz 4.5- Molsan sits comfortably in 4th while Driaz fell to a tie for 7th. He is only half a game out of the 6th spot.
OBX 5, AZ Sting 5- A neutral result combined with Foot's loss were enough to vault him up to the second spot. There is still a huge gap between Milk and everyone else.
Prospect League Standings:
1. Milk: 41-15-3
2. OBX: 30-24-6
3. Foot: 28-25-7
4. Molsan: 26-24-10
5. Redseat: 28-27-5
6. Smitty: 28-28-4
7. JD: 28-29-3
7. Driaz: 27-28-5
9. Trudem: 26-29-5
10: AZ Sting: 26-34-0
11: Micro: 24-35-1
12: Brock: 22-35-3
Good luck to all in week 7! League Comparisons will be out later tonight. Will the A league continue to pull away?
Thanks for the recaps tlance.
"Struggling" is being kind.. thanks for that
Jose Fernandez to the DL with an elbow strain. MRI to come. This could be the WORST.
Thanks from me as well. You put in a ton of time on our behalf, and i'm sure that we all appreciate it.
Well done Tlance. Sorry I didn't say that first. .was just a little worked up about losing two starts, and because of that, virtually every pitching category, simply because the Marlins thought it would be sneaky to keep this under wraps until Monday morning/afternoon when its too late for us working folk to do a damned thing about it.
