Hey @MilkSpiller22 - Gonna set up a poll for expanding rosters?

Only if it is in the off season. I have had issues with a shorter bench for 3 years and at 1 point in the first year having people want me kicked out, because I didn't have enough people to field a starting lineup. So I have cut players through out the years of these league only to have the rosters expand when others have issues.


Yes I would vote for expanded rosters, but only starting after the offseason.

We have weekly lineups, so I wonder how much the extra bench spots are needed. When I first joined, I thought it was daily lineups, so I thought the bench players could be used to cover days off, but when I realized we do weekly lineups, it gave me the freedom to use those bench spots for prospects. I do think all of the prospects on my active roster will get called up to the majors this year. The ones in my minors have ETA's next year and beyond.

Maybe we expand the IR to 8 so that a team doesn't need to drop many of their guys. That would make things more realistic. I'm not aware of an injured list limit for MLB teams in real life, but obviously we need a limit so that one team doesn't stash every injured player. LOL.

IIRC, we expanded the IR last year, and not everyone was for it. I think expanding the rosters by one or two spots might be a better sell.

@MilkSpiller22, do players gain position eligibility during the season? For example, Bubic is a starting pitcher right now. Does he gain SP eligibility after a number of starts? I would like him to take over Taillon's spot. LOL.

The 40 man roster is really the only restriction. Once too many guys are hurt at the same time guys get put on the 60 day IL, then don’t count against the 40 man roster.

I have the same issue with Jobe right now. Which is stupid that his eligibility was set off two weeks at the end of last season. But it is what it is.
