So, is free agency open now or something? (I was about to make a claim, but I think it was gonna let me just make a free add/drop...not even a zero $ bid).

Or do waivers just need to be reset? If so, is that faab just for two specific days per week?

I think right now there's a couple of hours window for FA.

Pretty sure that's how it's worked in the past.

Free agent Joey Gallo announced on social media that he’ll be a pitcher going forward.

It’s unclear what if any role Gallo’s desire to pitch had with the White Sox’ decision to move on. The 31-year-old former outfielder bats left-handed, but throws right-handed. Where Gallo goes from here is anyone’s guess, but we’d assume that he’ll attempt to catch on with a team on a minor-league deal with a bullpen role in mind.
