Nope, I/we drafted him. There was a precursor in that upon joining this league last year I was giving Chef a bit of a hard time before the draft about having Yamamoto on his team which was a similar situation.

I took Sasaki in the 5th round mainly because I was paranoid someone else would draft him. I had to pretty much re-stock 12 minor league slots from the team I inherited so admittedly I was seeing if I could cut a corner.

I had thought upon doing this that someone might draft another international player who was unaffiliated with a big league team; I wasn't expecting anyone to take a college player and I'm not sure I had even realized there were college players in the database.

Looks like you're all good going forward. It was a thing where the guidelines just hadn't been set in stone prior to last year's draft, now they are. Good luck.

1 set the draft order
2 open the player pool (there are players not in the pool from last years mlb draft)
