He is still an elite pitcher when healthy so if needed I will just keep him on IR. I understand I won't get a ton for him now but it really does me no good giving him up for a guy that will sit on my bench.
Honestly, I would take a chance on a struggling SP rather than a low ceiling position player.

@MilkSpiller22, I can't remember if you addressed this already, but what's our rule regarding guys on injured reserve? I just traded for Corbin Burnes, who is having Tommy John surgery. I'm wondering if he can be kept on IR until he returns, or does he need to be placed on my regular roster when we get to the offseason and then I have to wait until next season to put him back on IR?

There is no IR limits during the season.

But all ir players need to be put on the regular roster by a certain time during the off season.

But we do add 5 bench spots to the off season roster.
