it feels pretty stupid to have a draft but allow pickups before it no? But we also need to sort this 60 day man thing. feels like anyone on that should be able to be IRd

Makes total sense to not allow a guy to be IR'd if he will be back before season starts. seems like an easy fix

yea that seems like a huge loophole on Yamamoto but kudos to dude thinking on it.

But you and I both have 3 or 4 guys on 60 day

that is a huge disadvantage if we have to drop 4 guys to keep them

On second thought in the football dynasties we expand the roster before the draft and a few weeks after, and then we have everything normal before the season starts at some deadline


since we never expanded the roster here, just eliminating all IR spots pre-season/post draft, is too much of a penalty....

i think it would be MOST FAIR, to allow 3 of the 5 IR spots to be used before the season starts....

I just think given the roster restrictions just rolling all these guys into a draft pool is a better means of distributing players.

I mean we have up to 10 picks. They will still be rolled up into the draft. If someone wants to drop a good, young player why should we have to draft that player for rights. IDK I am fine either way but I think adding the IR spots back is a good move. This helps teams keep their roster intact instead of dropping a bunch of guys just to have space for the draft

there are 12 minors and 9 reserves. And the restrictions on minors (not saying I disagree persay and this is a repeat of last year.) eliminates most MLB ready players. So we have 9 reserves. if I had to keep all 4 on the active roster (5 if you count Urias) then I'd have either 4 or 5 reserves who aren't injured going into the draft.

I'm fine with Milks solution and I appreciate him addressing it.
