- Draft time is almost here, and since OBX posted the D2 thread, may as well get this on going as well.
- Draft is slow, online, here on the hoop.
- 1st round is 24 hours per pick, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds are reduced to 18 hours per pick. If real life happens and you may miss a pick, please let us know, accommodation can be made, but please communicate. If you're simply incommunicado, your pick will be skipped. Skipped picks can be made at anytime and are always considered to be OTC.
- Draft is "drop and draft" format- if you have an open spot, you do not have to make a drop. If you do not have an open roster spot, a drop must be made in order to make a pick.
- Drops are currently open, you can drop players now, or wait until your pick is OTC to do so, your choice
- you do not have to use all your draft picks, but if you declare a pick "pass" here in this thread on the hoop, you cannot trade it 5 minutes later, it is gone forever.
- If a pick is made, and your roster does not have the space, and you did not declare or make a drop, you have until your pick's timer runs out to rectify the illegal roster, or the player picked returns to the pool of available players, and your pick converts to OTC status and can be re-made at anytime.
- All available free agents, and players dropped during the draft, in addition to all rookies, are draft eligible.
- your roster must be able to conform to a legal lineup once the draft is ended. No dropping kickers for a pick and planning to add a kicker later prior to week one. The ability to post a legal roster must be maintained. During the draft itself, this is suspended, however, by the end of the draft, that legal roster must be restored or the final pick made will be voided and your roster locked from additional moves until the roster is legal. i.e.- you can drop a kicker or D or whatever, for your first rounder or whatever, but by the time you use your last available pick, that position must be re-filled.
- theres possibly more I need to say, but I ran out of time before I got a chance to post-sorry for anything missed!
