Dunno if that was supposed to be a PM, but I'm gonna stick with Morris and take my chances with Romo, I think.

I don't believe in making trades for fun. When I draft players my intentions is for those guys barring injuries to at least be on my team for the first month of the year

you sound like the ppl in my league........

"if he stinks i'll trade him" right cause everyone wants him then......
"I can drop him" right good luck getting value back

"once he has a good game or two i'll trade him for adrian peterson"

the mindset of the person who does not even explore trades

trades arent for "fun" but if you enhance your roster.....my roster is worlds better now through trading

That's ok, bud...you make up for it with your trading prowess. ;)

Raising 5 kids and working a job that has very weird hours( don't ask) got me out of the habit of going to movies or watching TV ( other then sports, got to draw the line there).

:suds:

FIVE kids! I wouldn't have time for movies either. I work 6 days a week (my son is grown), so I need to watch a movie to unwind. Love watching football and hockey Not sure if they help me unwind tho?

If I wanted to built my roster basically mainly through trades, I would prefer to do a autopick draft and make trades to improve roster after.

the point is, drafts dont always give you what you want......why use the waiver wire........you didnt draft those guys

its the same concept, its a chess match, you gotta keep making moves to get ahead

Well watching sports may not unwind you at all, in fact it could wind you up, but that's not so bad either.

Bingo.

But, whatever, some guys like to trade, some don't. Different strokes and all that.

Personally, I'm trying to quit...I would use the Michael Corleone gif to illustrate my point, but I think Wil already kinda owns that one.

I agree that some guys prefer to trade and others do not. I'm just cautios about doing it before I see a game or three because I would feel like an idiot if one of the guys I traded in preseason has a great season better than I even expected while the guy I receive actually underachieved

Trading is addicting, it's the wheeling and dealing that gives you a rush. However at some point you realize that after looking at everyone roster, that trying to make another trade just isn't a good idea. Always better to trade with someone who likes to trade as much as you do. You get much more reasonable offers that way. Some folks just plain over value what they have, dang hard to work a trade in that case.

yet you could give a guy up, that underachieves, and get the performer.........comes back to my thing of its a chess game, gotta make moves, gotta think ahead.........got put yourself in the best position
