Green is such a dumbass.
While I 100% agree with you that Conor doesn't have the stamina to go 12, if I do the math, I think it might play out a little differently than his MMA stuff. In boxing, he'll get a break after 3 minutes instead of 5. He won't be dancing around like a goddamn monkey, either. That might help him go a bit longer. No chance on 12 rounds, but maybe he doesn't get gassed until the 6th or so. I think his bigger challenge will be not being overly hyped and trying to go for the KO too early, thus expending all his energy trying to throw a haymaker. Both fighters are counter fighters and Floyds superior speed should be noticeable right away so Connor needs to be extra careful throwing that heavy left hand. Floyd just may be waiting for it.
Also, McGregor is not going to have the gas tank to go 12 rounds. My guess is he will start gassing after 2 rounds before Mayweather goes to work. I can see Floyd playing it safe until McGregor tries to catch his breath before he starts backing Connor into the corner and letting loose in round 3 or 4 before the ref stops the fight.
Can't wait. College ftball starts early in the afternoon and this spectacle at night. Going to be hammered
Ditto.
Pffft. Not after I looked at the prices for the shit seats! Just being in Vegas should be a pretty good time though. You're going to the fight?
I think that is what Connor will do to cause him to gas. Punch himself out before Floyd can get his timing down. I don't see a better/more realistic way for Connor to win and certainly doubt his chances increase the deeper the fight goes. Especially since he is the heavier fighter of the 2.While I 100% agree with you that Conor doesn't have the stamina to go 12, if I do the math, I think it might play out a little differently than his MMA stuff. Prostitution is legal in LV soooo.......?Pffft. Not after I looked at the prices for the shit seats! Just being in Vegas should be a pretty good time though.
I was in vegas for McGregor/Aldo. It was a blast. I figured Conor's following was a bunch of Americans who are Irish. No, it was all crazy Irishmen. They shut down the MGM grand casino after the fight. Dancing on blackjack tables, singing Irish songs. It was hilarious. Half of them probably missed the fight though. A lot of them could barely walk at noon.Pffft. Not after I looked at the prices for the shit seats! Just being in Vegas should be a pretty good time though.
Yeah, but 154 is way under his walking around weight (170+) so I don't think it's big disadvantage. If anything, the lighter weight makes him quicker because his frame is used to supporting more. I don't know how to explain what I'm trying to sayI think that is what Connor will do to cause him to gas. Punch himself out before Floyd can get his timing down. Yeah, I expect it to be Vegas². Which means I probably won't remember most of it and I'm glad I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off of work!I was in vegas for McGregor/Aldo. It was a blast. I get what you are saying. I am basing most of my opinion on how he has gotten gassed in the UFC even at the lower weight fights but to be fair, he has only had 2 MMA fights go longer than 2 rounds so that's not a very good sample size to know how his tank will be in a boxing match.Yeah, but 154 is way under his walking around weight (170+) so I don't think it's big disadvantage.
