If the Skins do pass on him at 34 and he is there in the 3rd round Shark do you take him? The Skins went defense with the 34 overall pick.

All I know is that he was being compared to Fluker and Fluker was a top 10 pick. He might not have a 10-15 year career but a 5 year career would be fine with me with his ability. Two good bookend tackles are worth a lot in this league. I would take the chance, if you call it a chance.

Comparisons are always funny to me. Because you never see a player being compared to a guy that flopped at their position. You never see some one come out and say, this player is the next Ryan Leaf, or Brian Bozworth.

Bottom line to me is this.. .the drop off between an OT we could get at 34, and an OT we could get in the 3rd round is not nearly as steep as the WR we could get at 34 as opposed to the WR we could get in the 3rd or 4th round. And as much as you rail thar we are set and dont need any more WRs, I think you are wrong and would be shocked if we didnt come out of this draft with at least on WR with some actual size to him.

If Kojo is there in the 3rd, maybe. But I would still be hesitant. Bad knees in general to me are a no go as far as O-lineman are concerned.

you dont invest the 34th overall pick on a 4-5 year career

Name me one player who has ben reported to have artheritci knees who had their knee get better??

2014 NFL combine: Bama OT Kouandjio falls after failed physical - CBSSports.com

And sure Andrews gave him a clean bill of health. BUt this is the same guy who proclaimed RG3 100% at the start of last season... so I tend to take that with a grain of salt these days.

Dr. Andrews was right. RG3's knee was 100% medically. It had healed and he wasn't in any more or less danger of injury. That's what 100% means. It doesn't mean he's as fast or trusting of the knee.

A skill player that is 100% healthy usually isnt confined to a knee brace for the entire season. Especially if 3/4 of his game relies on his mobility.

Did the doctor put him in the knee brace or was it a precaution set forth by the team?

Either way, if he needed it, he wasnt 100% considering his best game is when he can actually move.

All teams tell the truth leading up to the draft don't they? There is absolutely no upside to saying he's off the board for pick 34. Lie, lie and lie some more is the motto.i usually tune out this time of year but generally when I hear a team is hot on a player it usually means they have no interest.

Bingo... which is why I think Moses, Kojo, and all of the usual suspects are likely off the board. Now it might not be the guy I would select, but I get the feeling OT is NOT going to be the pick, or TE, or ILB or OLB. We aint going to draft a RB or QB at 34.... So that leaves me thinking WR, CB or long shot safety.

You may be correct Shark. Either way let the bitching begin!:suds:

By this time friday night, i expect there to be a full fledged bitch session in play. Unless some how one of the top five players in this draft slips to 34, there is no way every one agrees on the pick.

I really don't give a shit who they draft or where he plays as long as he's a contributor to the team.

The 34th pick is basically a late 1st round pick.

Success of first round picks who start from day one hovers at around 60%. Forcing a day one starter at pick 34 is asking for a mistake.

Heres my thing Duke.

1. Im not pressed to find a day one starter at 34 because usually when we press, we end up with a disappointment.

2. I have followed Benjamin since he got to FSU, and if he were a bit more sure handed he would be considered a top ten pick hands down.

3. I think drafting for need over talent has screwed almost every team in the NFL more often than not.
