Matt Miller from New Era Scouting:

Re-watching the NFC Championship game, looking at the two best defenses in the NFL by seasons end. Watching for pass rushing schemes

Few DEs are athletic enough to slow-play off the snap like JPP, but he can and does--then makes the tackle. Such a freak.

Once JPP becomes comfortable reading on the fly, I don't know how you stop him. Only negative right now is hesitation after snap at times.

Giants weak at DT, 49ers weak at NT. Best production maybe. Not most talented.

Teams facing #Giants in 2012 may want to pass more on first, second down to take advantage of JPP slow-playing. Gets caught standing up.

Giants wisely double-teamed Justin Smith on passing downs when he slid down to 3-tech. Only way to do it.

NaVorro Bowman's ability to take on blockers, keep his outside arm free and still make tackles is textbook. Star in the making. #49ers

49ers were smart to put V Davis off line at TE on JPP's side. Made him slow up one step, let Joe Staley get better post-snap position.

Based on NFC Championship game cut-ups, hard to pick two better up-and-comers in the NFL than JPP and NaVorro Bowman.

@Jmpasq I really, really like Aldon Smith. Nothing negative meant by leaving him out.
