The bengals could always sign Matt Flynn as their backup and let him get the system down for the rest of teh year while Dalton toils from game to game.

He threw for 400+ yards in GB with a good offense around him, why not in Cincinnati and we do not have to waste a draft pick either.

However, I am sure a team like Buffalo, Cleveland, etc are more interested.

I would do this he is more accurate than Johnson and would fit in the system.......back up only of course... he stunk it up in Oakland but they dont have the talent we have....

He's basically the same qb as Dalton.... But it's pretty low risk at this point so I'd do it.

Mike Brown won't though.

He looked like an all-pro in a similar type of offense. Not saying he would be worth a crap, but seems like a logical option to let him compete for a job in a place where he has a chance to succeed, than use draft picks on another project potentially.

I mean, if we are goign to use draft picks for someone, we could always offer something for Mallet maybe from NE.

3rd round pick?

That is a lot cheaper and less risk than drafting a QB in the first round and have to commit to them for at least 3 to 4 years before saying, well, we f'd up again with the QB pick.

Just a thought.

Not that it matters, because while everyone seems to be getting frustrated with Dalton, I don't think anyone on the Bengals are ready to move on yet. Plus, signing Flynn might actually light that fire under Dalton to press himself more to get better in fear of losing his job. Just thoughts.

He's terrible. Don't let a few games with the league's best WR corps cloud your judgement. He's been brought in to start for two teams and couldn't win the starting job at either one. He's worse than Dalton.

He couldn't beat out Terrelle Pryor. When Pryor got hurt and he got his chance he was so good he was released. 'Nuff said, imo. He's probably no better than Johnson, if that is possible.

not sure Dalton has the tools to be a hall of fame QB, at the rate he's getting himself sacked, he's in for a Carsonesque implosion.
