Matt Barnes Calls His Team The N Word

Matt Barnes has always been a thug, but going on Twitter and calling them racial slurs is totally unacceptable. If I was Doc River Rivers I would bust his chops big time and I expect he will. The question now is does he get traded. I wouldn't want to play with the guy after that.

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes stood up for his teammates during Wednesday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, then took to Twitter -- while third-quarter play was still ongoing -- with a racially-charged tweet saying he would never do it again.
Barnes and Thunder forward Serge Ibaka were ejected with 6.2 seconds left in the second quarter after Ibaka and Clippers forward Blake Griffin got tangled up as Griffin tried to put the ball up. It looked like Ibaka had pushed Griffin and Barnes shoved Ibaka hard in the chest.
Players from both teams had to restrain Barnes and Ibaka from each other as Ibaka cocked his right fist as if to throw a punch while Barnes continued jawing with him. Griffin was assessed a technical foul.
During the third quarter, Barnes tweeted, "I love my teammates like family, but I'm DONE standing up for these n---as! All this s--- does is cost me money. …" The tweet was later deleted.
This isn't the first time Griffin and Ibaka have been involved in an altercation. Last season, Ibaka hit Griffin below the waist and the two had to be separated. Ibaka wasn't ejected or suspended but was fined $25,000 after the incident

I have to add that the Clippers won in that fight when you consider that both Ibaka and Barnes both got ejected. The Thunder would have won that game with Ibaka in the game. Barnes is a scrub. That tipped the balance in favor of the Clippers after that

Should be interesting to see how this shakes out. Barnes is a punk but he's really the only decent perimeter defender that the Clippers have. Griffin looked to be the one who started this with his arm bar on Ibaka.

I'm white. I HATE the N word. I also hate all the PC bullshit. One thing that is abundantly clear......racial slurs and gay slurs are highly common in locker rooms. All in "fun and games." I have no issues with that.

Yeah without a doubt. The media will try to make a big deal out of this but Barnes is going to get fine either way because he's not allowed to tweet during games even if he was ejected.

As for the actual tweet i hate it, he said he wasnt going to stand up for his teammates because of money. He should have said it does his team no good if he isnt on the floor. Happens to me all the time, but I dont trip. I dont mind because if someone was racist, then they would not be call each other ****as.

Its a generation thing. The older generation are more critical of the word because they dealt with the true racist time back in the day.

I respect the people that dont like the word or dont like other races using it, but majority of the young generation dont mind it.

But if someone calls me a ****er, I will break their face.
