EUGENE, Ore. — Brady Hoke didn’t mince words as he walked off the Autzen Stadium turf Saturday night and shot a glance at the Washington side of the scoreboard.

“Seventy (bleeping) points,” Oregon’s first-year defensive coordinator muttered in disgust after the Ducks gave up a season-high 682 yards in a 70-21 loss to the seemingly unstoppable No. 5 Huskies.


Hoke wasn’t around for the past 12 years of Oregon success at Washington’s expense, or for the 17 Duck victories over their interstate rivals the past 21 years.


All he saw was a Husky offense that did as it wished, whether that was Jake Browning passing for 304 yards and six touchdowns or fellow sophomore Myles Gaskin rushing for 197 yards and another score.

Washington dropped a stadium scoring record by an opponent on the Ducks (2-4, 0-3 Pac-12), who’ve yielded well north of a country mile of total offense (1,926 yards) in their three conference losses, an average of 642 yards per game.

That was the most embarrassing defensive 'effort' I think I've ever seen from a P5 school. There is no excuse for a team to ever let anyone hang 10 TD's on them in a game. It's offensive.

Wiz & Dayman congrats!!! Was not available last night to be online was drunk in a hot tub. I predicted a blowout but holy schieeest. I haven't read through this thread but I just sped through the replay and UW didn't even attempt a pass in the 4th qtr did they???? About 2 weeks ago didn't I say UW will be in the playoffs -- you starting to believe now??? Looks like the Apple Cup is going to be SPECIAL.

Going to be interesting what happens in Eugene this off season. However tons of returning players and recruiting isn't too bad. I think this year is the bottom. May not be a PAC Champ, but the team will be better the next 3 years - who knows after that.

Honestly I'd fire him this weekend if it were up to me. You can't field a unit that bad and still be employed in D1 football. I don't know if I would fire helfrich, but Hoke is a joke.

Introduction: I could go on and on about hyping this game up and try to get you all excited for it. But in the end I will keep this simple. Oregon was won 12 straight vs Washington. Yes 12 straight. And the Washingtonians wear that 12 straight streak extremely proud as I see them waving that 12 flag every Sunday for Seahawk games, or see it on a flag on a car. The huskies come into AUTZEN STADIUM in EUGENE OREGON with a high ranking. This zombie program is thinking they are back in relevance in the college football world. Oregon NEEDS this win, they WANT this win. Witness the greatness that is the POWER OF THE NORTHWEST, the MEN OF OREGON beat the huskies. I won't call it an upset because beating someone for that many times in a row it gets repetitive.

Game Rundown: This is going to be a hard nose fight early on. Oregon will try to get going and it will feel like they are just one big play from opening this game wide open and blowing the huskies out. True Freshman Herbert will get the start and expect that to boost the Ducks into victory. The guy has Mariota like calmness and athletic ability. I expect a close game at halftime. Petersen continues to play old style football and thinking punts and FG's beats Oregon. The Ducks pull out some big plays in the second half, such as fake punts, 2 point conversions, and getting the momentum to carry them to a GREAT VICTORY over the visiting team.
