Problem is if you do fire him who else are you bringing in and if it's from the outside you are entirely scrapping this particular version of the spread/option HUNH and chip kelly's work is entirely gone. Are you willing to suffer through the rebranding/rebuilding that would follow? Because it will take time to install new systems and the kids best suited to them.

There is a strong argument in giving Herbert a chance. Your offense isn't the problem. Hoke needs to go and they cannot make a mistake on that side of the ball again. They need a REAL top flight D1 level DC.

Your defense is the problem. And not finding that next QB. If Herbert is that level of quality then that side fixes itself probably by next year.

Throwing in the towel now ensures a couple more rough years.

Meh, I'm not an expert on duck football for sure. I do have quite a few duck friends and I know they are divided on helfrich right now. It's going to be a huge conversation the rest of this season no doubt.
