Former NFL head coach Marty Schottenheimer was moved to a hospice facility near his home in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday because of complications from Alzheimer's disease, his family said Wednesday.

Yes, my uncle just passed from Alzheimers.

Hospice is sad. It may be the best we can do, but still sad.

When my ex-wife's dad was near the end, they weren't telling anyone the truth. I knew what hospice meant. Still does.

My father - in - law passed from it . It’s horrible to watch the decline and the pain it caused my wife and family was horrible

Prayers for Marty also. Sure wish he could have been the HC here for a few more years.

I have dealt with hospice on several occasions. It is sad when they come in because the end is near but everyone I ever met and worked with through hospice was great.
