Martinez was in the huddle yelling "LET'S GO! COMON!" several times today............so I don't want to hear shit about him not being a leader!

The problem is that the fuckin offensive line is a bunch of slackers..........INCLUDING Caputo, who should be a dadburn leader himself.

dis is he trioof

I have to give Taylor some respect for this game...

He struggled and took some hits early, which is exactly what Fresno St was trying to do...but then instead of giving up like he did in several games last year, he finished the game strong and played his best footballl in the 4th quarter.

If nothing else his attitude and leadership skills have improved...now if he can just polish up those passing skills he could become a solid Qb

Other than the fumbles and INTs, i have no problem with martinez's play today. he was up at the line calling audibles, reading the D, making some pretty good passes, and he ran that option to PERFECTION when he scored that touchdown. last week, it seemed like it was decided in the huddle whether he would pitch the ball or keep it, but tonight, he made that FSU D-end look like a top spinning around trying to figure out where the ball is.

Other than that how did you like the play Mrs Lincoln?

Seriously though, haters gonna hate.....Cody Green would of been so much fucking better today......

Martinez isn't great (yet) but he is young and is way better than Green would have been even with his mistakes.....

But what do I know? I'm just echoing the opinion of Bo and the staff.....Many of you who hate Martinez love Bo without question, so is Martinez really that shitty or is Bo a shitty coach because he believed in Martinez more then Green?

At least he doesn't throw furniture around. I remember Lord's receivers hated to practice with him because he would try to throw a couch or ottoman at them!

I will admit Taylor played well enough to win the game for us, he has a long way to go but he is taking the right steps to getting better.

Our O line, fuck me they are just wtf, it's like they just started playing Oline for the very first time in their lives. I noticed in the final drive where Rex was pounding it up the middle to run the clock out, he was out there fighting for yards By Himself against half of FS's defense, while our Oline just stood and watched. That really put me over the edge with those guys, I don't care what class they are in

My thoughts are we are a young team that are not ready for some of the games coming up. I think some of the other B1G teams have some great weaknesses but right now I would say Loss Wisconsin, Loss Ohio State, Loss Michigan State and Maybe Loss Penn State. This is a young team and I think many including the coaching staff set their expectations too high.

The D was lost last night. They are still giving up at least 2 yards on every run. And so many missed tackles. I think we took a big step backwards on defense, I do not know why but when we should of taken our greatest stride forward we went backwards.
They need to get across that line and tackle for a loss a lot more. They also need to wrap up on their tackles. Every single time the first tackle misses.

As for the O, they said that lines problem was Watson and his upright blocking but I am still seeing the same thing. We get blown apart. We are not getting the wholes we need to open up a run game.
Martinez made some dumb decisions but I can see him growing. Ball security is a major issue with him. It seems like every time he goes to cut he holds the ball out like he is getting ready to pitch it. And I also saw several times where linemen would stand around and watch the play go down while they watched. ONe time with Martinez going down the sideline, two Fresno defenders coming at him from the inside and two lineman on the outside who should of cut in and blocked just watched Martinez get tackled.
WTF!!

We have a horrendous line, we have a problem with ball security and we have a quarterback who though he is getting better stills makes poor decisions and on the other side of the ball we have no emotion, we have no leadership and because of this we are not making tackles for loss, we are not getting sacks and we are not wrapping up on the first hit.

This year conference 9-3 or 8-4 but they are a young team and that is my new outlook for this year. I will watch for growth. I don't know if I will watch next week or not. I can not stand to see us get our asses handed to us again by Washington.

i will say one thing, the second half, i was incredibly impressed with martinez. granted he wasn't great, but he showed leadership. and he didn't give up, he was in there yelling at his guys to focus and get it together, and he came through in the clutch. something he couldn't do last year. overall i was happy with t-mart's game, other than the first quarter

haters can hate Taylor but for the ones who like Green remember this Green couldn't beat out Taylor the last two years. That why Green has moved on and his play was never really all that impressive when he did play. You can say the husker fans who support Taylor that we look through rose colored glasses but to say Green is better than Taylor then you are blind! Taylor has playmaking skills that Green dreamed of having. The Oline and dline are bigger issues than QB play.

Taylor did some serious "nuttin' up" when the game was still undecided. He made some very good throws deep to get the safeties to back off. He has a long way to go before he can be called "good,' but I think he made some good strides in that direction.
From where I was sitting at the game you could see how terribly over rated the defensive front has been. Crick was handled like an altar boy at a bible retreat. They tore his ass up. I wanted to scream something at him, but his mom was sitting right behind me....
Our O-line is the weakest link of the team. I understand that Fresno was stacking 9 in the box a lot, but damn, you would think that at least one of those 9 would have been blocked at some point. The D-line was owned like Kunta Kinte. I wanted to scream something at them, but Rodriguez's mom was sitting right in front of me...... friggin family section seats...

popeye i agree with you but taylor needs to set his feet when he does he throws the ball well when he doesn't I just pray it doesn't find they way into the d's hands. Once he looks of his primary wr the and set his feet he could be scary good.

I don't agree about the D-Line and Crick, Tom. If you recorded the game watch it again. Every time FSU Rolled Carr out (90 percent of the time) At least one of our guys was getting held like a mother fucker. Like arm wrapped around neck dragging guy behind you held.

Brasky thats an excuse for poor dline play if Fresno was holding then why wasn't it called all the time. Doesn't matter the dline played like shit last night.

The sad part about the passing game last night is that the passes Taylor DID COMPLETE were poorly thrown where a reciever had to slow down for it. If Taylor would've had a good throw most of those deep balls could've been straight TD passes...but when Taylor tries to lead the WR he usually ends up overthrowing him 10-15 yards

Actually, I was referring to the way he and the other d-linemen were blown off the ball on running plays. I am 48 years old, I have one bad knee, high blood pressure and had brain surgery... and I could have run through those holes.
