I have to say something else................as I posted up above, I do NOT think it should be a penalty. When I said "now you have me thinking it should be a penalty" I would have thought you would realize I am just shitting you.

My argument from the very beginning is that anyone could do what Eric Martin did there.........he shouldn't be proud of it. Alex Henery could have made that hit.

I love the energy, love the physicality..........but do not like the Colorado/Missouri/Kansas State like attitude that came out of Martin after the play was over.

But I love the Blackshirt Attitude that came out of Martin...........

:D

I personally have no issue with Martins actions on the sidelines- partly due to the fact it's open to interpretation on which hit he was giddy about...... He did just JACK UP a kick returner, when they were showing him all giddy...

I do have a issue with standing over the dude immediately after the hit.. but this is a culture problem- not a eric martin- or Nebraska problem....... You see guys stand over other guys all the time on sundays- where do you think Martin got that natural reaction- my guess would be from the me vs the world attitude that most "kids" these days have.....

I know I did....... I stood over players if and when I did get a hit on them like that.......

Hell I still give this one kid a hard time from when I broke his arm in 8th grade by knocking his center on his ass on top of him......... It was fucking awesome- they snapped the ball, I blew up the center- qb got his foot stepped on by center- center went on his ass- on top of the qb- qb had arm in wrong spot- broken arm- all in about 1 second.........

That player saw Martin coming and let up. What's Martin supposed to do, let up in the middle of a play?
Not in a Pelini defense. The kid wasn't blind-sided by any stretch of the imagination and wasn't speared with the crown of the helmet. Play ball..

Hell yea!!!

Just don't stand over the player afterwards flexing your muscles over a hit that Alex Henery could have made

That dude he hit was like 6'5'' 240, I'm pretty shure Henery could not have laid that dude out.

Martin hit the guy in the upper part of his chest and right below his chin. That is why his head snapped back.

It was not helmet to helmet contact and it was not a penalty.
